We Are One’s founder Husnain set up this charitable trustin 2016 after encountering barriers to his pursuit of a career in dance. As a wheelchair user, Husnain decided to create a safe and inclusive space for other talented artists in India whose potential may have been left undiscovered because they didn’t conform to expectations of what a dancer should look like.

We Are One consists of dance lovers who happen to have disabilities. Together, they have thrilled audiences in more than 10 countries with their energetic and intricate performances of classical Indian dance.

True Colors Festival

As a festival, TCF brings people together to generate exchanges, innovation and creativity; and transform the way we relate to each other.

Presented by The Nippon Foundation, TCF brings diverse artists and audiences together through concerts, documentaries, music videos, film screenings, children's programs, musicals, workshops and other activities. Since 2006, festivals have been organized in Southeast Asia and Japan, with more than 1,200 artists from more than 30 countries connecting with a global audience in more than 80 countries.
