The Soulmatics(JP) – The Concert 2022

The Soulmatics(JP)

"Love is the goal of music, it’s a tool to touch people and help them unite. Good music – true art – can help to break down walls.”
- Shin Ikesue, founder of The Soulmatics (Source)

The Soulmatics, formed by songwriter and vocal trainer Shin Ikesue, is a crossover gospel choral group that has touched the hearts of thousands internationally, from the US and China to Korea and Australia – and of course, in their home country Japan.

Known as the Tokyo Mass Choir outside Japan, The Soulmatics’ choral pieces are often composed by Ikesue, who is also the choral director. Their passionate performances continue to surprise and delight audiences, and some career highlights include performing a crossover from gospel to dance music with DJ Tchami to an audience of 250,000 and performing with pop stars like Janet Jackson and David Bowie.

True Colors Festival

TCF is a long-running international festival of performing arts. We celebrate diversity and inclusion, and embrace the fact that we are One World, One Family. We choose the arts as our platform, for its power to move, inspire and heal.

As a festival, TCF brings people together to generate exchanges, innovation and creativity; and transform the way we relate to each other.

Presented by The Nippon Foundation, TCF brings diverse artists and audiences together through concerts, documentaries, music videos, film screenings, children's programs, musicals, workshops and other activities. Since 2006, festivals have been organized in Southeast Asia and Japan, with more than 1,200 artists from more than 30 countries connecting with a global audience in more than 80 countries.

TCF invites you to journey with us, to enjoy, experience, share and spread our consciousness of being One World, One Family.
