For persons with impaired vision: From Kokusai-Tenjijō Station to the Venue

  • For persons with impaired vision:  From Kokusai-Tenjijō Station ot the Venue

  • 1. Follow the tactile flooring in the station, and exit via the manned counter next to the automatic turnstiles.

  • 2. When you have exited the turnstiles, turn left and proceed straight ahead.

  • 3. Continue following the tactile flooring for about 30 meters, then turn right to exit the station.

  • 4. Following the outdoor tactile flooring, turn left at the first junction.

  • 5. At the junction of the next tactile flooring, turn right and walk straight ahead.

  • 6. At the next junction, go straight until you arrive at the convergence with the tactile flooring from the left, and turn right.

  • 7. Continue along the tactile flooring straight ahead for about 50 meters.

  • 8. Following the tactile flooring ahead, proceed diagonally to the left.

  • 9. Continue along the tactile flooring for about 70 meters.

  • 10. At the junction of the four-directional tactile flooring, proceed diagonally to the right. There is a crosswalk ahead. Proceed carefully, as there is a gap in the tactile flooring leading to the junction.

  • 11. Cross the road at the crosswalk, which is about 30 meters. This crosswalk does not have a melody or sound indicating the traffic signal status. A guide is stationed here; ask if you need assistance.

  • 12. After crossing the street, go to the next junction of the tactile flooring beyond the stop line, turn left and proceed straight ahead.

  • 13. Continue along the tactile flooring for about 140 meters, pass through Ariake Station and go straight. (Along the way, there are two junctions on the blocks from Ariake Station.)

  • 14. Cross the road at the crosswalk. This crosswalk likewise does not have a melody or other sound indicating the traffic signal status. A guide is stationed here; ask if you need assistance.

  • 15. The street at the last portion of the crosswalk has a drain grating. Be careful not to stumble or let your cane get caught in the grate holes.

  • 16. After crossing the street at the crosswalk, follow the tactile flooring straight ahead for about 110 meters and cross the street at the next crosswalk. This crosswalk likewise does not have a melody or other sound indicating the traffic signal status. A guide is stationed here; ask if you need assistance.

  • 17. Just a little after crossing the street at the crosswalk, you need to turn right; but there are no tactile flooring there. A guide will be stationed there, so be sure to ask for assistance. (Depending on the guide situation, it may be necessary to wait for a while.)

  • 18. Proceed left along the walkway for about 120 meters.

  • 19. When you reach a large open space, turn right and proceed straight along the building on your left.

  • 20. After turning left at the Tully’s coffee shop at the corner on the left, Tokyo Garden Theater will be on your left.

  • 21. You have arrived at the entrance to the venue. In addition to the regular reception desk, a Viewing Support Service counter is available at the venue. The staff will be able to assist you, so ask them for help.

  • For persons with impaired vision: From Ariake Station to the Venue

  • 1. Proceed along the tactile flooring inside the station, exit through the turnstile on the far left and go straight ahead. A guide is stationed outside the turnstile; ask if you need assistance.

  • 2. Continue following the tactile flooring for about 20 meters, then turn right at the junction and proceed toward the east exit.

  • 3. Continue walking for about 30 meters, and at the next junction turn right, arriving at an elevator.

  • 4. Take the elevator to the first floor. (The turnstiles are on the second floor.)

  • 5. After alighting the elevator, follow the tactile flooring and turn left.

  • 6. Proceed for about 7 meters, and at the next junction turn right and go straight ahead. (Just before the junction where you turn right, there are tactile flooring branching to the escalator on the right. Do not follow these blocks.)

  • 7. Go straight for about 45 meters and at the first crosswalk, cross the street. This crosswalk does not have a melody or other sound indicating the traffic signal status. A guide is stationed here; ask if you need assistance.

  • 8. The street at the last portion of the crosswalk has drain grating. Be careful not to stumble or let your cane get caught in the grating.

  • 2. Follow the blocks for about 7 meters, then turn left at the junction and proceed toward the east exit. (Just before the junction where you turn left, there are blocks branching to the right. Be careful not to confuse them.)

  • 3. Continue for about 15 meters, and turn left at the junction reached there, arriving at an elevator.

  • 4. Get off the elevator at the first floor. (The turnstiles are on the second floor.)

  • 5. After alighting from the elevator, follow the tactile flooring and turn left. Then at the junction about 4 meters ahead, turn right.

  • 6. Go straight for about 40 meters and at the first crosswalk, cross the street.
    This crosswalk does not have a melody or other sound indicating the traffic signal status. A guide is stationed here; ask if you need assistance.

  • 7. Continue straight ahead for about 140 meters and at the second crosswalk, cross the street. This crosswalk likewise does not have a melody or other sound indicating the traffic signal status. A guide is stationed here; ask if you need assistance.

  • 8. A little after crossing the street at the crosswalk, you need to turn left; but there are no tactile flooring there. A guide will guide you directly; be sure to ask for assistance. (Depending on the guide situation, it may be necessary to wait for a while.)

  • 9. The Ariake Garden building is located a little bit off to your right.
    Proceed along the building for about 110 meters.

  • 10. Turn right at the Muji shop on the corner to your right and enter the building. (Entrance to Conference Center, Spa Izumi Tenku no Yu)

  • 11. Passing through the automatic door inside the building, turn right at the first corner, arriving at an elevator on your right.

  • 12. Take the elevator to the second floor.

  • 13. Get off the elevator and go left for about 3 meters to an automatic door. Go out the building from this exit and turn right.

  • 14. Continue on until you arrive at the entrance to the venue. In addition to the regular reception desk, a Viewing Support Service counter is available at the venue. The staff will be able to assist you, so ask them for help.
